meet Antonia
Hi, I’m Antonia. I thought you’d be interested to hear a little about the Founder of Golden Peacock Design.
I love walks by the river in my wellies. Being by water makes me feel calm and inspired. That’s one of the reasons I chose to live in Marlow.
Another of my favourite things is exploring cuisines and different recipes, even though my youngest screams at me, “Mummy, this is disgusting!” whilst getting red in the face when he tries something new, then happily tucks in!
Art and Design has always been a passion of mine, and after leaving the corporate world last year I have thoroughly enjoyed taking myself on Artist dates. When travelling to new places, and experiencing different cultures, I am always drawn to interesting architecture as well as the unique designs found in nature. I can admit I do get rather excited by rock formations!
I love yoga and Pilates, and sometimes in my downward-dog I contemplate adding a furry friend to our family.
That being said, I’m a mum of two young boys who keep me busy (and remind me of the necessity to help my clients create homes which work for the whole family).
Starting my interior design business has been the perfect way to combine my project management and marketing experience with my creative passion: seeing first-hand how design emotionally connects with people and can influence how they think and feel. Through managing large-scale projects and understanding what people really need and want - now helps me bring complex interior design visions to life.
I’m inspired by how colour and design have the power to evoke emotions, influence behaviour and have such a powerful impact on our well-being, and when used intentionally can transform spaces and the families within them.
The thing I love most about my work is getting to understand my clients and what makes them tick. I feel so satisfied at the end of a project, seeing their faces light up when they look around their uniquely designed home and I can see them envisioning a bright and beautiful future for them and their family.
